Battles That i Was IN

I'm Ken Ervin, I'm attempting to tell my story about the Viet Nam War. I was in two major battles and many smaller conflicts during my tour of duty over there (11/22/1966-11/22/1967). The two major battles that I was in were "The Battle of Plei Doc and "The Battle of Plei Ya Bo (Three Trees). I sure do appreciate Charlie Flood for his wonderful book "WAR OF THE INNOCENTS" - Battle of Three Trees. Thanks to him for bringing back old memories that I had almost forgotten over the last 39 years. I highly recommend this book because I was there and I can vouch for Charlie. I missed our Granddaddy Battle for Dak To which was fought during the Month of November of 1967. I was back in Dragon Mountain Base Camp, home of the 4th Infantry Division in Pleiku, processing to go home when this battle occured on 11/11/67. I heard all about it the battle. We lost 21 new men in my company alone. I remember feeling so guilty because I was coming home while my comrads were loosing their lives in this battle. We lost 45 all total from my battalion (3rd Battalion-8th Infantry) in this furious battle. I remember getting home before. I still remember going from the jungles of Pleiku to being home with my family in less that 2 weeks. I couldn't sleep...nor eat...boy you talking about jet lag, I had a bad case of COMBAT LAG.
